Local Rap Artist Hurricane Chris Arrested For Murder
Well known local rap artist Hurricane Chris has been arrested on a second degree murder charge. Christopher Dooley Jr., aka Hurricane Chris, originally told police he shot a man who was trying to get into his car at a gas station on Hearne Avene. Dooley then told officers he shot the man because he thought he was going to be robbed and he acted in self defense. But investigators say video footage at the scene tells a different story. Detectives learned the vehicle did not belong to Dooley and was actually stolen out of Texas.
Hurricane Chris is a Shreveport native and famous rapper. The rapper rose to fame in 2007 with the release of his album "51/50 Ratchet" with the hit single "A Bay Bay". It is on record the Dooley is a member of the Hoover 19 Park Family Bloods, and in 2010 was dropped from his record label. And his last shows were in 2015.
