Louisiana Startup Prize Presents First FINAL FINAL Weekend

The top five finalists for this year's Louisiana Startup Prize have been announced and this weekend we will know the grand prize winner!

Louisiana Startup Prize Announces FINAL FINAL Weekend Activities and Competition

Open Mixers, Entrepreneurial Scavenger Hunt and 5 entrepreneurs competing for $25,000 in cash and $45,000 in prizes.

SHREVEPORT-BOSSIER, La. – The Louisiana Startup Prize (www.LaStartupPrize.com), “The Most Amazing Entrepreneurial Competition on the Planet,” is hosting its five finalists in Shreveport this weekend, These startups will compete in series of public and a private audience with investors during the final event of the Louisiana Startup Prize (an event called the Startup Prize FINAL FINAL) September 26-28.

During the FINAL FINAL, the five finalists will be competing for the Grand Prize of cash and services equaling over $70,000. The Grand Prize includes $25,000 cash, $10,000 worth of marketing services from Williams Creative Group, $10,000 of accounting services from Heard, McElroy and Vestal, one free year of office space provided from American Tower (valued at $20,000) and a $5,000 corporate video provided by Fairfield Studios. While these are great incentives for the entrepreneurs, the most exciting factor is that the LASP Board of Directors (a group primarily consisting of investors) has the opportunity to invest further into any of these final projects. The Startup Prize FINAL FINAL event will kick off with a public “Shaken, Not Stirred” mixer on Friday, from 6pm-9pm, Sept. 26^th at the Downtown Shreveport Hilton Bar. At the mixer, Team LA Startup Prize will announce the rules for the 1^st Annual Startup Prize Entrepreneurial Scavenger Hunt (with cash prizes). The winners of the scavenger hunt will be announced on Saturday at the Startup Prize Coliseum pitch event on Saturday, September 27, 7pm-10pm (you must be present to win). At the Startup Prize Coliseum, each of the five final startups will present themselves to the crowd and the crowd will vote for the winner by contributing money to each startup. The startup with the most money raised will have its total matched by the Startup Prize.

Entrepreneurs will spend their day on Saturday, September 27 presenting their startups to a panel of investors. This highly competitive, highly exclusive event will determine the Grand Prize winner which will be announced at the FINAL FINAL Awards Brunch at the Robinson Film Center, Sunday, September 28, 11am-1pm. Tickets for this event are $20 each. Space is limited.
