Geek'd Con has become one of the biggest pop culture events in the entire state of Louisiana. Drawing fans and vendors from every corner of the United States, and creating millions of dollars in economic impact for the Shreveport and Bossier City area.
Tickets for this year's Geek'd Con are available right now. You can get yours here.
The guest lineup will include horror movie icon Tony Todd, E.T. stars Henry Thomas and Dee Wallace, the voice of Master Chief Steve Downes, award winning actor Billy Zane, the voice of Mickey Mouse Bret Iwan, John C. McGinley from Scrubs (and a bunch of other great movies), and many more incredibly talented celebrities.
There will be a lot of comic book talent as well, including Scout Comics creator Mitchell Martinez!
Martinez is a graduate from California State University in Sacramento, Mitchell Martinez first had the idea for Wannabes and the main character “Zapster” since he was 12 years old. It was while in college that he took a creative writing course that helped him develop the script for issue 1.
Also during that time, Mitchell utilized the company “Scattered Comics” to find the artistic team to bring his creation to life.
A lifelong superhero fan, everything from Power Rangers to Kick-Ass, Mitchell’s passion for the subject is showcased on every page of his Scout Comics title.
There will be a chance to check out all of the work from Mitchell Martinez, and all of the other comic creators, at Geek'd Con this year.
Having all of these stars at Geek'd Con gives you the ability to get autographs in person, and also your chance to get pictures with those celebrities. Most celebrities are all about taking selfies at their booths, but they also give you the chance to have a professional photo taken too.
