Napoleon Dynamite Actor Coming To Shreveport For Geek’d Con

Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, is coming back to Downtown Shreveport this August. The 2024 Geek'd Con will take place August 16th, 17th, and 18th, at the Shreveport Convention Center. The event has hosted tons of celebrities over the last 9 years from all types of entertainment. From movie stars to Rock & Roll Hall of Fame members, with viral internet celebrities and professional wrestlers mixed in as well.

The event has become one of the biggest pop culture events in the entire state of Louisiana. Drawing fans and vendors from every corner of the United States, and creating millions of dollars in economic impact for the Shreveport and Bossier City area.

This year Efren Ramirez will be coming to Shreveport for Geek'd Con.

Ramirez is probably best known for his role as Pedro Sanchez in the groundbreaking 2004 indie film Napoleon Dynamite. He reprised the role of Pedro in the animated series of the same name, as well as in Robot Chicken.

In addition to Napoleon Dynamite, Efren has appeared in The Pool Boys, School Dance, Mad Families, Walkout, Perpetual Grace LTD, Employee of the Month, and voiced Airman Diaz in the 2022 Disney-Pixar film Lightyear.

Not only is Efren a successful actor, he is also a DJ. He's performed worldwide and toured in over 50 cities across 5 continents. His production company "Nocturnal Rampage" throws a recurring rave event every summer in Austin, Texas.
