One Million Louisianians Have Been Fully Vaccinated
This week, Louisiana and it's residents crossed a major milestone.
If you would have asked me back in January where I thought we would be three months down the road, I would have definitely said right where we are now. Think about it, Louisiana was seemingly stuck in Phase Two of our reopening. For us, that meant restaurants and bars working on a capacity limit, businesses operating on limited hours, no nightclubs, and really no end in sight.
Now, just three months later, things are finally starting to feel a little more normal. It's been a long time since we've felt anything this normal. It goes without saying that our current optimism is due in large part to two major factors... The first being Louisianians doing their part every day. Practicing social distancing, wearing a mask, and being careful. The second is, of course, the success of our multiple vaccines. Obviously without Pfizer and Moderna, and even the Johnson and Johnson vaccine vaccine to an extent, there's no way we could be this far down the road, in this short amount of time.
This week, Louisiana crossed a major milestone on our road back to normal. As of this week, Louisiana has 1,000,000 fully-vaccinated citizens. Even more important, at least 31% of our state's population has received at least one dose. That means that we should continue to see the number of completely vaccinated Louisianians rise by the day.
Keep up the good work Louisiana, we're almost there!
