"Where has the Pizzaletta Gone?" has been a popular question that several people seem to ask when any festival pops up in Shreveport. There have been several broken hearts throughout the Ark-LaTex. Like crawfish is to Mudbug Madness, and beer is to Brew, and wine is to Cork, the Pizzaletta is a staple to The Red River Revel.

What Exactly is a Pizzaletta?

Every Shreveport revel goer can tell you that this is one item that many of us love; it's the perfect mix of a Louisiana staple, a muffuletta, and a pizza. My friend Hillary describes a Pizzaletta as "harmony in your mouth".

The Pizzaletta has been absent from the Revel since 2020. The good news is that St. Joseph Catholic School has brought back a time-honored tradition. St. Joseph Catholic School is letting you show your support by ordering a gourmet Pizzaletta.

How does the crew at St. Joseph describe this delicious food? "Imagine a golden pizza crust piled high with layers of salami, ham, olive mix, and cheese, topped with another pizza crust and even MORE cheese. Each hearty 16” Pizzaletta weighs over 5 pounds and makes 8 generous slices."

You can order up until September 12th; you can order a half or a whole. The best part is you can freeze it. Eager to get your hands on the coveted Shreveport delicacy? Just click here to order your product and to get all the pickup and ordering options.
