One of Northwest Louisiana's most anticipated annual festivals has switched things up this year, leaving a few residents a little confused, but don't worry, we're here to clear the air.

The Red River Revel recently announced a major scheduling change: instead of running for nine straight days, the festival is splitting into two separate, long weekends.

The Revel team made this decision to give the hardworking artists, vendors, and staff a much-needed break between events.

The first part of the Revel has wrapped up, but you still have plenty of time to catch the second half. The festival will kick off again at Downtown Shreveport’s Festival Plaza starting Thursday, October 2nd, and running through the final day on Sunday, October 5th, 2025.

Why You Can’t Miss Weekend Two

The Revel is more than just a celebration of art; it has become the ultimate destination for foodies.

Just look at the news: The Revel has partnered with Superior Grill to offer the ultimate drink. The Superior Margarita collaboration is a celebration of two local staples joining forces, proving that the festival is now a major culinary player.

This perfect pairing of the most iconic margarita in Louisiana with the best food vendors around shows that the Revel is a true reflection of the community it serves. The second weekend promises more beautiful art, incredible live music, and all the phenomenal food you can handle.
