Shreveport Canine Carnival: Fundraiser for Humane Society of NWLA

The Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana is one of the biggest animal rescues in the Ark-La-Tex. Although this rescue is a local no-kill dog-only rescue the organization stays extremely busy. The Shreveport rescue relies solely on donations and volunteers.

The Humane Society of NWLA Has Gone Viral Several Times, For Good Reason

Do you remember Rosemary, the obese chihuahua? She caught the attention of the Shreveport-Bossier community because of her dedication to finding a home and her weight loss journey. When the Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana got ahold of Rosie, she was 24 pounds, the average chihuahua weighs around 6 pounds. Our sweet Rosie lost weight and found a home, we love the work that this organization does.

Now this amazing rescue needs our help. The public is invited to the Canine Carnival on Saturday April 5th. Guests will experience a night of fantasy and sideshow fun exploring creative concessions, enjoying immersive entertainment, and a silent auction. The dress attire is cocktail or carnival themed, we love us a good theme in Shreveport don't we? All the money raised will go directly to funding the medical expenses for dogs under the care of the Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana.
