Three Shreveport Police officers have been arrested and are now booked into the Caddo Correctional Facility. The investigation began when a video surfaced on social media and was brought to the attention of the Shreveport Police Department by a local news outlet.

KSLA posted the video of a Shreveport Police Officer inside a store. The story claims that the Shreveport Officers were involved in theft involving a towed vehicle. You can read the original story here.
Chief Wayne Smith and the department moved quickly to address the concerns raised. Out of a commitment to accountability, they immediately initiated both criminal and administrative investigations.
The officers involved were placed on administrative leave, a standard procedure to ensure a fair and thorough investigation while protecting the department's integrity. As Chief Smith stated, "No one is above the law."
The investigation found that the three officers, Corporal Shanora Gipson Ross, Corporal Tarogie Jones, and Officer Kourtney Jackson, were responding to a call at a local casino.
What Was the Call That Led the Officers to the Local Casino?
The call involved a vehicle repossession, and during the process, items were allegedly taken from inside the vehicle. Some of these items were later recovered, while others were found in the Shreveport Police Department property room.
The officers have since been charged with theft and malfeasance in office.
