Son Of Fallen Slidell Policeman Greeted By Officers On His First Day Of School
The son of a fallen Slidell police officer had a heartwarming surprise waiting for him when he arrived at school this week.
Maddox Seals started his first day of kindergarten, but unfortunately, his father wasn't there to see him off to school. Maddox's father, Officer Jason Seals, passed away last November and even though he couldn't be there for Maddox, his brother at the Slidell Police Department had his back.
According to WBRZ, they made Maddox feel right at home as they had high fives waiting for him when he walked through the door on his first day.
What's even cooler is Maddox goes to the same school his father attended.
Chief Randy Fandal and several Slidell police officers went to Maddox's school in order to surprise him on his first day. It was the same school and front doors that Jason walked through in 1988!
What a touching gesture from a great group of officers in Slidell. As for what Maddox was most excited about on his first day of kindergarten: Homework.
That's adorable. Good luck, Maddox! And have fun!
