The Southfield School Pie Run is On For Halloween!
The list of things that have been cancelled this year is too long and depressing to review right now. Luckily, one of the coolest runs of the year just announced that they won't be put on that list.
According to the Shreveport Times, the annual Southfield School Pie Run will be held on Saturday, Oct. 31st. 3 different races are available for runners who can't wait to get out of the house and do an honest-to-goodness 5K, 10K, or Fun Run.
Participants will be able to choose their staggered wave start time (a measure put in place to help folks run and stay socially distant at the same time) and are encouraged to wear costumes! To top it all off (with whipped cream if you like) each and every person participating gets a slice of pie when they cross the finish line!
If you're looking to get competitive, top finishers in the 10K will receive a cash prize and a commemorative glass. 5K top finishers will get a gift card and that same commemorative glass. According to the report, the proceeds benefit support faculty, professional development, lab and athletic departments, and more at Southfield School.
