Wallace's Giant Bee hadn't been seen since 1981. But scientists spotted the world's largest bee in January. Somehow, it remained hidden from the world for nearly four decades by inhabiting a remote area of the world.

The mandibles rival that of a stag beetle, which is unheard of in the insect community.
