Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, is set to return August 19th-21st at the Shreveport Convention Center. The 2022 Geek'd Con will be the 7th show in Downtown Shreveport since 2015.

The guests for 2022 already include sci-fi megastar Natasha Henstridge, along with legendary actor Clint Howard, "Peacemaker" star Steve Agee, horror icon John Kassir, Twin Peaks star Sherilyn Fenn, and AEW stars Darby Allin, and Danhausen.

Now we're getting two stars from the incredibly popular Pokémon franchise. First, the voice of Ash Ketchum, Veronica Taylor.

In addition to Pokémon, Veronica has voiced characters like Princess of Atlantis Chris (and Kenta) in Yu-Gi-Oh, Sailor Pluto in Sailor Moon, April O'Neil in the 2003 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, Nico Robin in the One Piece franchise, Princess Diaspro in Winx Club, Sputnik in Astroblast!, Brianne de Chateau/ Ribrianne in Dragon Ball Super, and a ton more.

Also joining Geek'd Con, for a rare convention appearance, is the original voice of Mewtwo from Pokémon: The First Movie, Jay Goede.

He reprised the role during the Pokémon Live! musical that toured the US in 2000 and 2001.

In addition to his Pokémon career, Jay has a lengthy Broadway career. Including the lead of Frog in the 2003 Tony Award Nominated show A Year With Frog And Toad. Jay even preformed the song "Alone" with Mark Linn-Baker at the 57th Annual Tony Awards.

Jay's Broadway credits also include Angels in America, Sex and Longing (opposite Sigourney Weaver), and The Play's the Thing. He was also a part of the 1999 national tour of Cabaret.
