What to Know About Combating Asthma During Spring
Every time the weather changes my asthma goes haywire. It is like my internal circuit breakers have exploded.
According to Lung.org, there are several things you can do to help stay on the defensive side of your asthma prevention.
1. Stay up to date on the air condition.
If you are going to be outside in all the nasty things in the air, be prepared with your preventive medications. I am super allergic to pollen so I am pretty sure I am going to have to get some surgical masks to keep me clear from an attack.
2. Keep an eye out for garden and yard maintenance.
If you have asthma then you already know the dangers of a freshly mowed lawn. I wasn't allowed to go outside or even be close to a window or door if someone was mowing nearby. So keep an eye on the lawns in your neighborhood.
3. Keep your medications filled.
I think this one is pretty obvious. You can defend your body in many ways by combating the natural elements that live in the air. However, you still need a good offense with your medications.
So let the war against asthma begin. It ain't easy being wheezy.
