Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, is teaming up once again with the Shreveport Mudbugs. This time for a weekend of PLAYOFF hockey!

This Friday and Saturday night, the Shreveport Mudbugs will be playing in the NAHL South Division Finals against the Wichita Falls Warriors. Friday and Saturday will be Games 1 and 2 in the series. The Mudbugs are the top seed in the South Division, so they have home ice advantage in the division finals.

In the first round of the NAHL Playoffs, the Mudbugs faced the Amarillo Bulls. They won that series 3-1, while Wichita Falls swept Lone Star 3-0 in their first round series.

This weekend's games will have a lot going on. Not only is it Playoff hockey, there are plenty of discounts, games, and giveaways. Here's a rundown on all of the discounts the Mudbugs are offering on tickets this weekend:

Even with all of those sweet discounts, things are going to get even better with these games. During both of the games, you will have a chance to win tickets to Geek'd Con 2021.

There will be Family 4-packs of tickets for Geek'd Con 2021 that will be given away during each game. If you win those tickets, you'll get to check out this year's Geek'd Con in Downtown Shreveport. Guests for this year's show include Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member Alice Cooper, Jay from the Jay and Silent Bob franchise Jason Mewes, Peter Facinelli from the Twilight film series, The Armorer from Star Wars' The Mandalorian Emily Swallow, and a ton more.

This is a great meeting of two fantastic family events in Shreveport...Mudbugs Hockey and Geek'd Con!

Legendary Musicians Who Rocked The Hirsch In Shreveport

Here's a sample of the legendary musical acts who have played Shreveport's Memorial Coliseum over the last 60 years. The Hirsch was basically the homefield for bands like Van Halen and ZZ Top, who regularly put the Hirsch near the top of their tours. For that reason, we're actually not going to feature them on this list, because they were basically "house bands" for Shreveport...and that's NOT a bad thing.
