Comedian Katt Williams announced that he is retiring from performing stand-up comedy, just a day after being arrested for his part in a Seattle bar fight.

Williams made the announcement during a rather disjointed interview with Seattle TV station KOMO, telling reporters, "I'm just gonna go ahead and announce my retirement from stand-up, I'm kinda done. I've discussed it with my kids, I wasn't gonna do (it) in the middle of a Seattle street, I was going to go to Los Angeles and do it in the offices of ICM (talent agency) or Live Nation (event promoters)."

Williams later said that he had been kicked out of four Seattle hotels in the past few days, but declined to elaborate further.

Williams was arrested Sunday after a brawl at the World Sports Grille, and booked on assault, harassment and obstruction. He was released from jail the following day.
