I grew up watching Mid-South Wrestling on Saturdays with my Dad. To this day, it's one of my fondest memories, and one of the biggest stars from back in the day is holding a special one-night-only event just a few hours away.

If you grew up in the Shreveport area around the same time I did, you know all about Hulk Hogan, the Junk Yard Dog, Randy Savage, and the royalty of wrestling, the Von Erichs! I was a huge fan of the Von Erich clan even though their story turned out to be tragic.

This is where it gets good. Kevin Von Erich, one of the remaining Von Erich brothers, is hosting a rare event called, 'An Evening with Kevin Von Erich, Stories from the Top Rope' at the Majestic Theater in Dallas, TX. It's being held Friday, September 1, 2023, and is being hosted by Dale Hanson. Tickets are only open to folks with a presale code right now, but they'll be available to the general public starting tomorrow, Friday, May 5, 2023, at 10 am CST for anywhere from $17 - $97+. BTW, after a little searching, I was able to find the presale code. It's 'HOGWASH' if you can't wait to buy your tickets.

Kevin Von Erich aka Kevin Ross Adkisson says he'll share insights regarding his career, triumphs, and tragedies during this special evening. This will be his first appearance in the Dallas area in over 20 years for the former North Texan. The timing is perfect because hopefully the film, The Iron Claw, which is in production now, will be released soon after. (It was filmed in Baton Rouge.) The flick chronicles the lives and careers of the Von Erich brothers. Zac Efron plays the role of Kevin Von Erich with Jeremy Allen White playing Kerry, and Harris Dickinson portraying David.

The stories behind the Von Erichs, their rivalries, their wrestling storylines, and their real lives could fill several books, but if you'd like to read more, click here.
