Add the Louisiana presidential primaries to the long and ever-growing list of things that are either being postponed or cancelled outright.  Yesterday,  Governor John Bel Edwards announced that Louisiana will be the first state in the nation to postpone voting in the primary due to the threat of spreading the Coronavirus pandemic even further.

The primaries were scheduled for April 4th, but will now be delayed until at least July 25th.  According to the report from CNN, most of the election day commissioners are 65 and older, and there are multiple polling locations located in nursing homes.  That puts the most susceptible people in terms of the viral infection right in the cross-hairs of this very communicable illness.

How presidential campaigns will react to this and how this will affect the overall voting process wasn't immediately known.
