The LSU-Shreveport Pilots had one of the most incredible baseball seasons of all-time. They went 59-0 on their way to winning an NAIA Title. If you're not a baseball fan, being undefeated may not seem like that big of deal. But, the reality is that baseball is the game of failure and perfection is something you don't often see.

A singular perfect game from a pitcher is one of the hardest feats to achieve. But for a team, to be perfect at any level of play? That's almost impossible! The best teams ever are lucky to having a 75% winning percentage. This is something unheard of!

And today, LSUS will get to celebrate their perfect season at the White House.

LSUS Will Go To the White House Today to Celebrate Their Perfect Season

Today, at 3 pm, LSUS baseball will have their official visit to the White House. Now, you may be wondering 'why do teams visit the White House'? Well, the tradition started WAY back in 1865. The Brooklyn Atlantics and Washington Nationals met with President Andrew Johnson on August 30th that year - The Atlantics because they won a championship and the Nationals because that was President Johnson's favorite team.

After that moment, teams began making more frequent trips to the White House to meet the President after  major accomplishments. Now, it's fairly common for pro teams to visit after winning a Championship.

However, from my research, LSUS will be the first NAIA baseball team to meet with the President and visit the White House. Which since they pulled off the impossible, is a well deserved honor.

How You Can Watch LSUS Baseball's White House Visit

Like I said, this is a historic and well earned moment for the team. 59-0 championship winning baseball teams don't happen regularly. In fact, based on how the game of baseball is played, we literally may never see something like this again.

If you want to watch the history making moment for our local team, the White House will be streaming the events online. Festivities start at 3 pm Central Time. You can find more details and watch live here.

Are the 2025 LSUS Pilots the Greatest College Baseball Team of All-Time?

People throw around the phrase, "Doing the Impossible" a lot. But in this case, LSUS truly did do the impossible.

When I went to LSUS and covered the team for the Almagest, I was in awe of Andrew Brouillette. He is the greatest singular player I've ever seen dawn a Pilots uniform and was the first person inducted into the Pilots Hall of Fame. His best year was 2009 when he hit .455 with 21 home runs and 100 RBIs. I remember thinking back then, "I'll NEVER see anything like this ever again". Turns out I was wrong. Because this championship run was beyond impressive - it was impossible. And featured performances that I couldn't dream of seeing.

This is the greatest college baseball team I've ever seen. I said at the top and I'll say it again, baseball is the game of failure. And it's probably the one sport where it's impossible to stay perfect. Pitcher doesn't have his stuff, hitter goes into a slump, defensive makes a key error, the wear and tear of a long season causes you to blow a lead...there are thousands of factors that can cause a team to give it up.

This team didn't. And even when they were behind and it looked like they were on the ropes, they found a way to overcome and win. And through it all, they became the first undefeated team in College Baseball history. Which, to me, means they're the greatest. Because what they did shouldn't have been possible, but they did it anyway.
