Face masks are a way of life now.  Folks can argue about it until the cows come home, but so many respectable health experts agree that wearing a face covering that helps you keep your germs to yourself is the best way to protect your neighbors and bring this horrible pandemic to an end.

If you're tired of running through box after box of the disposable paper masks, you should try a good cloth mask.  You can wash and reuse them over and over, which makes it a much more economical and environmentally friendly way to fight COVID-19.

As luck would have it, you can get a free cloth face mask this week courtesy of Shreveport's Ochsner LSU Health Center!  The free masks will be handed out at several testing locations throughout Shreveport, the first one is this morning at Querbes Park starting at 9 a.m. - your last chance will be at at Stonewall Baptist Church starting at 9 a.m. on Friday.  Each location will hand out the face coverings until supplies run out.

According to the Shreveport Times, these masks are being handed out in conjunction with a campaign to get everyone who needs to find out if they have COVID-19 tested.  If you wish to be tested, make sure to bring your photo ID and insurance card if you have one.  Reportedly, no one will be turned away due to their insurance status and there will be no out-of-pocket costs for anyone.
