Growing up in Washington state many of my childhood memories are running through fields of tulips. My mother loved tulips and would make us get in the car for a mini road trip to go walk through fields of tulips, I was convinced this only existed in Washington State. The thought of a tulip field may seem unrealistic in the South, however, think again.

It's one of the sweetest spring events and it is about to be reopened to the public. Texas-Tulips is a farm in Pilot Point, Texas just north of Dallas. This farm is unlike anything you have ever seen in the South. You can walk through the beautiful fields of tulips and take in the gorgeous view for just $5.00.

You Can Take a Little Bit of the Views With You

You can pick your own tulips. It's called U-pick, where you pay $2.50 per stem, and then your bouquet is wrapped in pretty paper and stems that are put in flower gel. There are picking baskets available on the field.
