Starbucks Offering Free Coffee to First Responders, Healthcare Workers
Every little bit helps during this time.
Can we just take a moment to think about our healthcare workers and first responders during this time. These men and women are always there for us and they sacrifice so much of their time, energy, and health to do that. Especially now during this pandemic, these people need to be taken care of.
Starbucks is doing that by offering something that is pretty essential to life... caffeine.
The coffee giant just announced that those who are working on the frontlines will be given free coffee to keep them on their feet. From now until May 3, those who identify themselves as a first responder or a healthcare worker will be given a free tall brewed coffee and they can choose whether they want it hot or iced. This is in addition to the deliveries of free coffee Starbucks has been making to hospitals, grocery stores, nursing homes and more.
I don't know about you, but sometimes it's not about the caffeine for me. There's just something very comforting, almost therapeutic about a hot cup of coffee. It's like a warm hug.
