World’s Largest Snickers Bar Belongs to Waco
There seems to be a world record for everything nowadays. But at the same time, it's nice to say you have a world record in something. Texas is now the holder of the world record for the Largest Snickers Bar according to CBS 19. Specifically, Waco has ownership of the record.
In Waco is the Mars Wrigley plant where Snickers and other Mars candies are made. This plant took on the challenge of creating this oversized chocolate, nougat and peanut piece of goodness.
For the Guiness Book of World Records to officially award the title of World's Largest Chocolate Nut Bar, the bar had to be a minimum of 220 pounds and consist of 80 percent of chocolate and nuts that can be eaten at some point. Well, they outdid themselves, the bar come out like this:
- 12 feet long
- 24 inches high
- 26 inches wide
- Weighs 4,728 pounds
The gigantic Snickers bar will be used in their Superbowl commercial on February 2. After that, the bar will be split up and distributed to the employees of Mars across the country.
