Wes Scantlin, lead singer for the band Puddle of Mudd, pleaded guilty to a charge of cocaine possession in Los Angeles and was sentenced to complete a drug counseling program.

Scantlin was charged in January with felony cocaine possession as well as misdemeanor driving under the influence of a controlled substance and driving without a license.

According to TMZ.com, the singer struck a plea deal with prosecutors and pleaded guilty to possession in exchange for dropping the misdemeanor charges. He must now show proof of enrollment in the drug program or face possible jail time.
