I Had One of the Best Steak Dinners in This Random Shreveport Bar

I Can't Pass Up a Good Steak Ever.

One of my favorite things about Shreveport-Bossier is that there are so many cool spots to find dinner. One of my friends swears by a bar serving steak once a week.

Fatty Arbuckles is a Local Bar That Several Locals Love.

Fatty Arbuckle's is tucked away in the Red River District, and it is one of Downtown Shreveport's oldest standing Lounges. Fatty's always has some live entertainment going on and what draws so many people is the insane whiskey selection. Fatty's claim to fame is that they have over 200 whiskeys to choose from ranging from Bourbon, Scotch, Japanese, and Irish. They are the place to check out if you are trying to find Rare Bourbons, it's the one spot to find Pappy Van Winkle, and EH Taylor.

One of My Favorite Fatty's Bartenders is Dillon Haynes, He Makes Everyone Feel Like a Somebody.

He also makes a mean Old Fashioned that pairs perfectly with a big ole Ribeye steak. When I asked Dillon if the steak was good he just smiled and asked what temperature I wanted.

My friends and I had been wanting to try the steak at Fatty's for quite some time and it did not disappoint. We tried the ribeye and the filet and it was one of the best steak dinners that we have had in town. The potato and broccolini weren't anything to skip over either. Since when are sides so simple and delicious? How is this bar pulling off one of the best steak dinners in town? We will never know, but we are going to keep dropping gin on Monday nights when it is steak dinner night.
