Sandlot Legend Patrick Renna Coming to Shreveport For Geek’d Con 2025

Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, returns to Downtown Shreveport this August. The 10th Anniversary of Geek'd Con will be held at the Shreveport Convention Center, August 22nd-24th, 2025. The event is an amazing weekend where you can create once-in-a-lifetime moments with your favorite celebrities, shop from hundreds of vendor booths, and spend time with your friends & family.

What Will Be Happening At Geek'd Con 2025?

You can expect to shop from over 200 vendor spaces, on two floors, filled with comic book retailers, handmade crafts, shirts, collectibles, trading cards, vintage toys, artwork, and much more. Vendors from all over the US, and right here in Shreveport-Bossier, will be on-hand all weekend for fans to buy, sell, and trade.

One of the big features that draws fans to Geek'd Con every year is the celebrity lineup. These celebrity guests come to Shreveport to meet and greet fans.

Recently added to the Geek'd Con lineup is The Great "Hambino", Patrick Renna!

Who Is Patrick Renna?

Best known for his role as Hamilton "Ham" Porter in the legendary film The Sandlot, Patrick Renna is a staple of American pop culture. Whether its the image of Ham calling his shot, or "you're killin' me Smalls", the movie and role are a deeply ingrained in multiple generations of Americans.

But Renna wasn't done being the teammate we all wanted after The Sandlot. He went on to appear in the Texas-based soccer movie The Big Green, with one of the most iconic movie posters of the 1990s.

He's also appeared in Son in Law, The X-File, Fear Inc, and played Cupcake in the pro wrestling drama GLOW.

Not to mention he lent his voice to the character Jordan in the cartoon Recess, and the two Recess movies.

Recently, he picked up a bat once again, and took the field as a member of the Savannah Bananas. Renna struck the pose, and called his shot...even if it didn't work out.

What Celebrities Are Coming To Geek'd Con 2025?

You can meet award winning actor Jason Lee, along with his Mallrats costars Ethan Suplee and Jeremy London. Terrifier stars David Howard Thornton and Samantha Scaffidi will also be appearing.

This year's guest lineup already includes a 35th Anniversary "Shell-a-Bration" for the release of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. Including voice actors Brian Tochi (Leonardo), Robbie Rist (Michalangelo), and martial artists Ernie Reyes, Jr. (Donatello) and Kenn Scott (Raphael). The four Turtles actors will be joined by Francois Chau, who portrayed The Shredder in the TMNT film universe as well.
