Get Ready for Jacket Weather in Shreveport this Weekend
Like many of you, I have spent a considerable amount of time over the past few weeks complaining about the weather to anyone that would listen. Here we are in mid-October, and we haven't even been able to wear a long sleeve yet. I know, this is normal for Shreveport, but that doesn't mean I've hated it every year up until this one, and it doesn't mean that I won't continue to complain about it.
Look, I'm a fluffy man and I thrive in the winter. I need to be able to put on these long sleeves and jackets.
Just this week, my mom elected to take my two daughters to the pumpkin patch. One problem; They arrived and realized it was as hot as an August evening and they decided to turn around and seek shelter inside of an establishment with A/C. That's how hot it's been in Shreveport, with Halloween right around the corner.
However, it seems good news for cold-lovers is literally knocking on our door.
I was talking to my grandpa about the weather and he told me some good news, news that I was not aware of at all, and news that has me smiling from ear-to-ear.
Pop says get the jackets out this weekend, and if there's one man I know that's never been wrong about the weather, it's my pop.
Low of 40-sometyhing degrees? Sign me up! Enjoy the cold weekend, Shreveport!
