Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? If you celebrate the holidays many of us are way behind on shopping and it isn't looking pretty if you want to ship off packages to friends and family. Now is the time to focus on your shopping list and get your gifts packaged up and ready to go.

It seems that every single major shipping company announces all of their holiday deadlines towards the end of November. Most of these deadlines are for procrastinators, can you actually ship something out on December 23rd and get it to the family by Christmas? Yes, that is if there isn't some crazy storm that pops up, or who doesn't love a technical glitch that sends your mail to the wrong town? Obviously, there are no guarantees, but you definitely want to see which major shipping companies can help you get those gifts home in time for Christmas.

Christmas Falling on a Wednesday, May be a Huge Help to Several Louisiana Shoppers.

This means that your gift is more likely to reach your friends and family on Christmas day than if Christmas fell on a weekend.

FedEx shipping deadlines: 

Your package can be shipped overnight via FedEx on Monday, December 23rd and arrive by Christmas Eve. You can also ship FedEx SameDay on Tuesday, December. 24th, to get your package delivered by Christmas. The FedEx Express Saver, 2Day, and 3Day deadlines are all the week before Christmas, and the FedEx Ground deadline is two weeks before, on December 17th.

US Postal Service deadlines:

The USPS shipping is also more favorable for last-minute shipping this year. USPS Retail Ground and First Class Mail should be mailed out on December 18th. Priority Mail should be shipped out on December 19th and Express Mail on December 21st.

UPS shipping deadlines:

UPS isn't giving you as much time as FedEx. If you are shipping 3-Day Select you need to mail out by December 19th and 2nd Day Air needs to be shipped by December 20th. Next Day Air needs to be mailed out by December 23rd.
