Did you know we have an actual cornhole association in Shreveport-Bossier City, LA?

I'll admit, I had trouble deciding whether or not to file this story under 'sports!' It turns out that cornhole isn't just for tailgating and backyard barbecues anymore! There's an actual Shreveport-Bossier Cornhole Association with around 2,300 members on Facebook and they're super active. Not only do they host a ton of tournaments in our area with cash prizes, but they also support a lot of area charities.

Which two Caddo Parish Parks now offer areas to play cornhole?

Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation has officially opened two new cornhole courts at Earl G. Williamson Park located at 11425 LA Hwy. 1 in Oil City and Eddie D. Jones Park at 8400 Mike Clark Road in Keithville. Each of the cornhole courts is covered with brand-new shade structures for protection from extreme heat and/or inclement weather. The cornhole boards are really cool and sport the Caddo Parish logo. However, officials say you must bring your own bean bags to play.
